(Letters from Ben:)
Ray,

Attached are three pictures of my first Deer Blind from the plans I purchased from you.  I made a few changes but mostly as your plans had it.  The outter shell is T11 13/32" and that's because I couldn't find the Smart siding.  I believe that a couple coats of good primer and the camo paint will do the job.  The blind is glued and screwed wherever possible making it rigid and yet still light.  I'm presentlly working on the door side and it's taking me a little more time, but overall I figure I'll have about 8-9 hours into building it.  By the way, I'm not a carpenter!

Thanks for a good plan,

Ben Treadaway

The support for the Stand, in the pictures, was built at home in the garage and disassembled for transporting and then re-assembled once in the field, all bolted.  I modified the plan you showed in your e-book and added some steps but still secured the Stand to the support the same way with small blocks of wood screwed to both Stand and support.  I still need a little camo paint on the support.

Also the entire structure is attached to the tree as you described in your e-book.  Three of us guys actually picked the stand up and placed it on the support.  Using that T11, 11/32" plywood made it very light.  The second stand I'm building now will be with the smart board but this stand will be seated on the ground (actually on a rock surface). I don't know if you can tell, but the bench seat I built into the stand has (4) 1" thick layers of foam and a carpet seat cover.  Talk about nice!

The carpet I put throughout the inside makes the stand very quiet.  I believe on the second stand I will use only wooden window latches because the metal ones do make noise when moving around.  It's really not that bad but the wooden latches work very well and a lot cheaper.

By the way I shot my first feral pig from the Stand the past weekend.  My first hunt from the Stand. The picture attached is of myself and grand daughter.  Wife and dog featured in the other pictures.

Ben has sent some great pics taken during construction
and they give you a great idea about how its done.
